Accessibility to affordable, healthy, sustainable products is core to our business. We want to make sure all customers can buy what they need and want from us.

Tesco With almost 8 500 colleagues is one of the largest private employers in the Slovak Republic. Our distribution network and portfolio of stores relies heavily on the work of thousands of local Slovak colleagues. What we do would be impossible without them and their work is vital to our continued success.

In the last 10 years we have invested millions of euros in developing our operation so that we can deliver a diverse customer experience. With 64 hypermarkets, 61 supermarkets, 30 express shops, 3 distributions centre and 20 franchised Žabka outlets, we are easily accessible to almost all households in Slovakia, via our store network and even more through our online offers which deliver country-wide. Through Tesco, our customers can access everything they need at everyday low prices, from key essentials to full weekly shops, and even fuel from our 18 petrol filling stations. Currently, 85% of Slovak households shop with us and we have 1,1 million active customers in the Clubcard program.

In Slovakia we are also a significant payer of taxes, which are paid into the state budget and contribute to the growth of the economy.
