Our approach

Although Tesco is a global company, it always strives to be a good neighbor to local communities. The Tesco Foundation, which combines the potential of the company itself, its employees, suppliers, but also business partners and customers, seeks to help where it is most needed.

The Foundation's activities follow the CSR strategy of the company - the Little Helps Plan, which is based on three pillars: people, places and products.

Tesco Foundation priorities

  • people: helping people in need, supporting local producers, health and a healthy lifestyle,
  • places: support for local communities,
  • products: fighting food waste.

Examples of Tesco Foundation projects include the development of the Food Bank of Slovakia, which provides food distribution to people in need, long-term partnership with the Slovak Athletic Association in organizing Children's Athletics, and support for farmers and small producers within the Farmers Grant project.
